USD 10 mill earmarked for MDG 4 and 5 projects in 2010 – 2012

The support will be focused on practically-oriented projects to help achieve
The UN Millenium Development Goals no 4 and 5;

• MDG 4; to reduce infant and child mortality by 2/3 from 1990 to 2015 read more
• MDG 5 ; to reduce maternal deaths by 75% from 1990 to 2015 read more

The Foundation particularly welcomes applications relating to implementation projects that

• are supported by national health authorities
• have a commitment to publish evaluation results by end 2012
• have a potential to leverage collaboration with international relief organizations
• have financial support also from other sources
  

The board will focus on 3-5 countries and a limited number of projects, such as the Helping Babies Breathe project and Tanzania
