The Peter Safar Research Fellowship

This fellowship is being established in recognition of the pioneering work by Peter Safar, and also to stimulate a continued active collaboration between The Safar Resuscitation Research Center (SRRC) in Pittsburgh, USA, and resuscitation research in Scandinavia.

The fellowship will be awarded to a Scandinavian to conduct a research project at or in collaboration with SRRC or the affiliated WISER Simulation Center. Alternatively, the stipend may be awarded to an applicant already associated with SRRC, who wishes to continue research at a university in Scandinavia.

The stipend amounts to USD 100,000 for a full year, or USD 50,000 for a half year project. The support may be reduced in care of parallell grants from other sources. A recipient may be awarded the stipend for a second year based on a renewed application. Applications will be considered by the Foundation Board together with the director of the SRRC.
